Goodyear Rawhide tires, Good or Bad?????
#1
I just picked up a Polaris Sportsman 500HO. It has Rawhides on it. They seem great in the dirt and mild mud but not so good in the snow.
What do you guys say about the Rawhides?

i have an 03 too. same model. i had the rawhide tires, but didnt like them too much. they spun too much for me. i knew they werent deep snow tires, but they do work well in the light stuff. i got PXT's and they hook up very well on everything i have put them through. 5 star tire, no doubt about it.
my rating of the rawhide grips: Bad

Im sorry SLG, i already sold them. you will have to find the price somewhere else for those PXT's though firecaptainsteve....lost the receipt. but i think i payed like 60 a piece for all of them. you will have to go to a dealer and price a set for a 2005 Sportsman 400...thats what i did.

they appear to be better than the carlisle badlands I have on my 04 700EFI's. it's not that the badlands are bad tire or anything it's just that I would have liked to have had a more knobby tire like the Goodyear rawhide on the quad instead of a smaller knobbed tire.
