Blaster Tranny troubles

I have a 98 yamaha blaster. when i was out riding one day, i was in 3rd gear and it went into neutral by itself. When i stoped and tried to shift into first, the shifter didnt stop in first. It also clunks when shifting. What could this problem be?? If its the clutch, is there an after,arket clutch that is better? thanks
