Sand Tires

You didn't mention what you are puting them on. They can get kinda spendy and there are many kinds to choose from. Depending on the power you have driving them, i would get the best for you bike so you dont end up buying them often. the right tire will last a long time. you can overkill on the # of paddles too. if you dont have the power to turn them, you will get discouraged. To aggressive of a tire will lug the motor way down.

The V pattern helps keep you on a side hill, it wont let you skate (slide) your rear end around much. they are a good tire though. If you want to skate, get the straight paddles. make sure you go with a very hard compound on the paddle. The torque a 4 stroke puts out will wear them down fast. I have seen them on warriors and they didn't last long at all. the torque was tearing the cleats off of them really easy. An 8 paddle tire should work well. you want to be able to keep your wheel speed up, so dont go with anything more than an 8 for the 400.
I personally prefer the skat-trak tires. they have a pretty heavy cleat on them. They hold up pretty well. I run them on a slightly modified banshee and they work well. I could go to a 9, but run an 8. An 8 should work real well on both of you machines. Good luck. If you looking for a good price on them, look them up at www.rockymountainatv.com or call them at 1-800-336-5437. they have great prices on tires and rim packages.
