Can anyone tell me any problems I would experience putting the same size tire alll the way around my quad. Or does it not really matter since I'm not putting huge tires on. The tire and size I'm thinking of is 25x10x12 mudbugs.

The only thing I could think of is it maybe a little harder to steer. I have seen people put the same size all the way around before.

I have 26x10 Mud Bugs on the front and 26x12 Mud Bugs on the rear. It handles fine and 10s on front is very common. Having them all the way around will be fine. You may want to consider 12s on the rear if you do any mud riding as they offer better floatation. Bugs are lighter than most mud tires. Some people run 25/26X12 all the way around and they say it's a little harder to steer with 12s in front.

Big question is what offset rims to run on the front. Rear rims have a lot of positive offset to clear the springs with the fatter tires. If you put rear wheels on the front you'd put a lot of extra strain on the CV joints, tie rods and axles. Could void your factory warranty on those parts.

If you put the rear tires on front offset rims they might rub on the inside, especially at full lock. Even if the front and rears are both 12x7"s (aftermarket rims). Some bikes have 12x8 on the rear and 12x6 on the front.

Can't go by generalities. Every case is individual and you just have to try it (expensive if you're wrong) or watch for someone else that has done it and copy it. Don't really know how much you would gain (in mudding you'd pick up front floatation and that's good) but it would steer harder and it might take the fun out of cornering. Depends also if you have a choice of 2WD.

For looks alone it's neat.

I had the same question for my 05 Grizzly, I wanted the same size on the front as the wider back one,s I ordered a set of Maxxis Bighorns 10" wide on the front too, I think it looks much better now, and can tell no difference in the steering, just a little firmer ride due to 6ply, I'm also running 10psi. on all tires too, If I went back down to 5psi, that would probably soften the ride up somewhat,,

I bet it looks great. I still haven't decided what I'm going to do or get just yet. Thanks for the reply.

10 psi? That seems like a bit much. Of course it comes down to rider preference. A higher pressure will wear out the tires a bit faster, but helps more with steering. i prefer running with 3psi myself 27-10-12(front) 27-12-12(rear) mudlites
