I'm getting ready to have new Mud Sharks mounted on my Honda 300 4X4. I'm having it done at my local Goodyear store for $8.50 per tire.

IS THERE ANYTHING SPECIAL I NEED TO ADVISE THE TECHNICIAN TO DO WHEN I DROP THE TIRES OFF? I don't think they mount too many of these.

Thanks!

Just make sure they have the tread facing the right way on all 4 tires. They should know this if they have any common sense though. Other than that, I couldn't tell you. I found a place to do mine for $6 apiece last time with new valve stems and all. Most of the other places wanted $10 each. I think they don't like mounting ATV tires, and that is just a way to discourage people from making them do it.

Ask 'em not to bend the rims too much!

Minor bending's no real problem, as long as the rims hold air.

And, yes, having the direction of rotation correct makes for a nice installation. (Now, don't YOU mount 'em backwards on your quad!)

sl25r,

How do you do them yourself?

What equipment?

How many people help you?

Are your rims aluminum or steel?

Is that 45min per tire or for all four?

$8.50 a tire is a good price, if they don't mess up your rims.

In our area the Polaris-Kawasaki dealer charges $14 a tire & the Honda-Yamaha charges $14.50 a tire.
