why does people always say they are bottoming out there shocks me and my friend was out riding when we found a giant jump its like a 10 ft hill into a field with a tree line like 100 ft away.
we were jumping his 2000 blaster up this jump and landing about 40ft away every time we jumped.
well we got out a tape measure and measured our jumps and decided we would have a jumping contest so we jumped and jumped and the farthest my friend ever got was 45ft so we were fixing to leave when i got on his fourwheeler and took off and got about 200 ft away from the jump well took off and got all the way into 5th gear (about 40 to 45mph)and hit the jump and soared 49ft and landed just fine dident bottom out or any thing.
thats why i want to know why is every one complaning about bottoming out there shocks.

it all depends on the conditions....how much you weigh, how worn the shox are, what the angle of the landing is...and so on...i had a trail blazer that i could jump about 5ft high and 40ft long and not bottom, just because it was a fast downhill jump that was really smooth, and i didnt weigh that much..
