New Holeshots....what to expect?
#1
I have a Sportsman 500 and I just replaced the 25" stock Tracker P tires on steel rims (12" in front, 10" in rear) with 25" Holeshot ATRs on ITP Type IV 12" rims. I just put them on the machine tonight and I've noticed that the Holeshots are definitely not true to size. Even though they are 25", the rears are nearly a full inch shorter than the stock Tracker P's and the fronts are about 1/2 inch shorter. Any suggestions on what kind of riding changes I can expect? Will it be a problem for the machine that these tires are smaller?

Believe me, I would love to take them out for a spin, but here in Eastern Idaho, all of the trails on the State and Fed lands have officially switch over to the winter travel management plan. This means snowmobiles only. I am street legal, but driving on roads doesn't exactly give me a good feel for what the new tires are like. I'll be trailering down to Utah after the first of the year to do some trail riding, but I was hoping to get a little feedback before that.
