I too have been following this thread..... In my opinion it should show the rest of us what kind of person(Tom Darnell)is, and not just a company that wants your $. Over the past 10+years that I have been riding I have had the joys and regrets of dealing w/ atv related companys. This just goes to show that he truely cares about his product and his reputation. I know I will be looking forward to purchasing a set once they are released.

Tom, After reading all of this, I'm assuming that your products are going to cater to "high end" machines who mainly race and are looking for that extra edge in competition. In the real world, 95% of atv's sold are used for recreational use. I, like most of us, ride all recreational and usually push my own limits beyond the fear level....and seem to make it to work the next day! With this said, what can you do to convince the "average bear" to purchase these rims vs 190's with no beadlocks. Anyone who rides hard is bound to need a new set of fronts or rears at some point and time. Will there be a lowend priced rim to compare apples to apples on this level?

This is a good question, which deserves a good answer. Since I myself have pondered the question many times, I will be happy to share my viewpoint.
Our rim's high price and race oriented features will surely drive many customers away. This will be because our wheels did not fit their particular needs, and people have many needs. My job is to educate people on the features of our product and let them see if our product fits their needs. This is called the value principle and states that the value of a product is equal to its function compared to its cost (V=F/C or “More for Your Money”).
Confusion comes from the function or a customers perceived needs. For instance, some people desire the trickest and newest technology to satisfy their thirst for knowledge and price is not always a factor (this would be me). Their quad's potential is what inspires them, not their riding skills. Many truly need the racing features to elevate their performance on the track and price is not a factor as long as it is a fair market price. Many customers, and onlookers take pleasure in the appearance of a quad and want the high tech look of our wheels, while others like the polished look of the aluminum wheels. Others just don’t need our wheel's features and therefore an aluminum non-beadlock wheel with its reasonable cost, strength, and looks gives them a higher value for their needs. Some people will be content with their aluminum racing wheels as they perceive our wheels as new risky products. Our product's track record and company integrity is what will provide the most value for these individuals. Since the practices of many companies in the ATV industry have eroded the customers trust, this will be our biggest challenge (re. to Rob and Walter above).
We will not be offering a wheel product to compete directly with the .190” wheels because our technology cannot compete at that price level. But that is not to say that our wheels are not a great value for even the non-competition rider. Light weight, additional strength, modularity, High Tech looks, racer function, proper design geometry, and state of the art technology, all have value even when playing in the woods or at the dunes. The question is which product brings you the best “Bang for the Buck”!

Gentlemen,
We are resigning from using this Forum. In an attempt to answer your questions, we have received complaints accusing us of using the Forum as a means of advertisement. Since this is a conflict of interest with ATV Connection, we will no longer comment with regards to our products.
We understand that ATV Connection must make money to remain in business, and we will soon advertise with ATV Connection because we feel it is a valuable site. But please be aware that the value of any company can also be found in the knowledge and information it brings to the consumer. As people enter a Forum seeking knowledge from peers, they many times receive misinformation instead of the knowledge they seek. By alienating company participation on topics that involve their own products and technology, the Forum loses a lot of it’s value.

This is pretty bad.
You did not start this thread, mearly answered questions regarding your products. I did not see you posting all over the forums bragging about your wheels.
I, for one, am glad that a manufacturer came into the forums to relay information about the products they offer. If more manufactures had brains to do this, there would be a lot more quality information given out.
It just a shame, a person like you, that provides information on a product, in a professional manner, is asked to leave. Yet some idiot bashing quads and spewing nothing but bull can stay as long as he wants.
I guess I will go find that thread where a LT80 is faster than the new Raptor.
Anyway, thanks for even trying to communicate VALUABLE information. I guess it is just not welcome here.

Thanks for all the information you provided. I really enjoyed following this thread. It's too bad that you can't remain on the forum to provide answers to some of the technical questions that other readers have.
Anyway, thanks again.
Still waiting for the release of your big wheel rims.

Do not leave. You appear to be a class act that provides clear, concise and OBJECTIVE information reference your products.
I, too, am now considering purchasing a set of these wheels not because you spoke about them here, but because of the FACTS surrounding them!

Has anybody used these wheels yet? They are extremely intreguing. I am wondering about the UV durability. I have a set of aluminum rims, that are 15 years old, they are still in very good shape, and did not cost $185 a piece. I am worried that the sun will eat the plastic alive. I am contemplating some beadlocks. These sound very high tech, but they are a rather large investment, so I am leary...
ATV Connection stopping him from posting is a total crock of BS. This was obviously not a advertisment.
