Itp Mud Lite or Titan 489xt
I have been looking at 2 different tires for my 2005 Wolverine. I have been looking at Titan 489 xt's in the stock size 23x8x12 front and 23x10x12 rear and ITP mud lite at's 25x8x12 front and 25x10x12 rear. I would like to stay with the stock size, but I am interested in the Mud Lites. I have heard and read that eventhough the Mud Lites are 6ply they are flat prone and that would be a problem due to all of the sidewall punctures I have had with the stock dunlops, the last sidewall puncture I got put an unrepairable gash in the sidewall. I have not heard to much about the 489xt, I know that they are 6ply. I wanted to see if anyone has used these tires and how they where. My riding terain is mostly hard pack, wet and dry, hill climbs some hard pack some loose, some rocky areas, and some mud, pretty much a little bit of everything.

yamahalltheway doesnt know what he is talking about! i had 489s and they have never failed me. not even in the mud. go with the 489s. they handle extremely well. and NO they do not wear out fast at all. TRUST ME. Yamahalltheway is my buddy and he is lying. we live within a mile of eachother and ride all the time. and i go through just as much if not more with the 489s. While he is stuck in the mud yelling"wait up!'

I like my mudlites, no flats yet in over two years of riding, and most of that is in the woods, we use it a lot for hauling out fence posts and small logs. Either is a good tire, though. The Dunlops aren't even a comparison if you ask me, they should call them Dunflats.
