i was woundering if i bought rear rims with the same bolt pattern as my front hubs could i run the wider tires there? the reason i ask is because the front end of my warrior sinks in to the snow so bad that i have to sit on the grab bar to keep me from being thrown over the bars when the front end sinks in to a snow bank( this happened to me this last weekend and i dont want it to happen again) so i was thinking that the wider tires up front would help the front end float more. please let me know if anyone has tryed this or if you think this would work. thanks

I don't think this would work for two reasons. One the bigger front tires would be heavier and most likly sink anyways. And two the rim probaly wouldn't fit over the front disk brakes.

Just my 2 cents.

it may work if you use a 10 inch wheel with all the offset to the outside.

cb,
Here's an idea. Try calling a local snow dealer and getting some used ski's. Weld a hook at both ends and strap it to you front tires with a strong tiedown or lockdown chain. This works for us, and it's a breeze on/off, cuts throu the snow sweet..... Try it! You'll like it!

There is a kit out to convert the front to skis. You take your front tires and wheels off and bolt on skis. It looks pretty cool, but not sure who makes it.

SnowTrakk makes these, but there nice if you want to 1:spend the money, 2:spend the time. Strapping on a set of ski's is 1:cheap, $30 or so, 2:quick, 5 min. tops. Only one bad thing to note, when jump you ski's may rotate on you. I just tap the brakes in the air when jumping. No to hard, you don't jump to high like in dirt. Hope this helps.

What about setting the skies at the angle you want them at the zip tie the front brake for a parking brake effect? Wouldn't this kep the tire/skies from rolling under the bike?
