Mud Lite XL w/ Delta Steel Rims....falling off
#1
My brother bought a set of mudlite xl's a few weeks ago, we go to put them on, 'they' sent him the wrong rims(offset/lug pattern), so they do the right thing meet him and get him the right tires and rims. We go riding on the same trail we always do, the same mud holes. 15 min into the ride the rear tire comes off the bead/rim so the day was ruined. They re-mount the tire and we go riding last weekend no problems....
Yesterday we go riding and the front left tire is loosing air, whatever we still ride it wasn't that low. We hit the last mud hole before we go back to my place and his right front tire comes off the rim. Has anyone heard of such trouble w/ the mudlites or did the people he bought the tires from rush through the mounting process? I'm hoping they rushed through only because they screwed up on the rim/offset the first go around so wanted to make it right by getting out the correct set out fast.
Anyone else had problems like this, or freak occurrence?

yah, I think the realize that. I guess they want him to bring in all 4 tires and they are going to evaluate the rims and tires and see if they are defective or if the job was rushed/not done correctly, they are also giving him a $100 gift certificate.

Sounds like they were'nt mounted properly. When the guy beaded the tires, it may have not popped on fully. This is a problem with motorcycle tires as well, they look like they're on but they didn't make the loud pop to signal they are fully beaded onto the rim.

When you mount them, you really have to air them up quite high to seat the bead. See the side of the tire for the pressure to seat the bead. I am betting this wasn't done.........

Definetly were not mounted right, because it sounds like a rush job on thier part, but heck I will let them screw up two days for me for $100.00, I could think of a lot of stuff to buy with 100.00. Hmmmmmm the possibilitys hmmmmm.
Good luck and I hope he doesnt have any more trouble with them popping off.
