Any minimum power recommended for using tracks on a utility Atv 4x4?

Will the tracks reduce your pulling power in snow? vs tires with chains?

from what I've searched on the web ,depends on the make ,most tracks are set up to actually give you lower gearing ,so even if they way more then tires they make up for it ,just do a seach ( atv tracks ) and you'll be surprised at how many different styls there are.
