Default New Tires for Eiger

I have Interco Swamplites and love them. They measure true to their heighth and are a great all around tire. I had the Mudlites XL's and hated them. they measured 2" short and had constant sidewall slices. These are the only two aftermarket tires I have had and can comment on although I have never in any posts heard anything bad about Maxxis Mudbugs either. All these tires are bias and less expensive. Someone else will chime in on radials and their advantages.
Hope this helps.

I haven't seen any swamplights around here yet. I was looking at a set of Bearclaws but was not inpressed with the tread height so now looking at a set of Mudbugs. They come in the stock size but with 30mm tread.

Any thoughts?

I think I want to stay with the stock size as not to loose any power. Or does going to a 26" not make that much diff?

The 26" doesn't add much more weight but remember you are going more agressive than stock. Like I said above, I've heard good things about the Mudbugs. Check out http://www.mudthrowers.com

They have good prices and I believe they have weights of tires there.
If you order there use LUGNUT as the coupon code.
Hope this helps.

I put some 26" Mudlites on my Eiger and noticed a little loss in power but not enough to hurt. Just about anything is better than stock unless you are just basic trail riding. Seen a Rhino with Swamplites go thru some bad stuff, they work.
