Default Tire Sizes

I have a Honda 250 with 22-10-9 tires. i am trying to figure out what all the tire sizes mean. I want a set of paddles but I see sizes 8-9-and10. Can you tell me the difference or what size paddles would be recommended?
Thanks

22" is the tire diameter (height). 10" is the tire width. 9" is the rim diameter....and this is the most important number!

You can have some variation in the other numbers and get away with it, but the rim size has to be 9" if you want the tires to fit on the stock rims. If you want to buy some other rims that are a different diameter, then you are free to change to a different tire size to match the rims.

What most folks do, is get some nice new rims for cross country, and put the sand tires on the old stock rims (or the other way around if you ride mostly sand).

I run ITP rims that are wider than stock and have a greater offset (but are still 9" diameter), and that makes me several inches wider for a very nice increase in stability.

Those stock tires are lame anyway, so lose them ASAP.

Rims are sized a little different. A 9X8" rim would have a diameter of 9" and be 8" wide.......

Thanks for the reply, I am looking for rims and tires. i don't do hard riding. Would it really matter what diameter rim i use? Don't mean to be a PIA, but i don't know much about tires. I use to ride 3 wheelers , but never used paddles and now I am riding with my grandkids.
Thanks again.......
