WHAT IS THE PROPER WAY TO MEASURE THE OFF-SET ON A RIM? I TRIED A SET ON MY BIKE AND THEY FIT PERFECT, BUT THE GUY DIDN'T REMEMBER THE OFF-SET ON THEM WHEN HE BOUGHT THEM. HOW CAN I MEASURE THEM TO KNOW WHAT TO BUY FOR MY BIKE?

 

It's the distance, as measured in inches, between the plane defined by the inside of the bolting surface (the side that mates to the hub) and the plane define by the inside edge of the rim. Lay a straight edge across the inside of the rim and measure from that down to the bolting surface.
