If you are doing a lot of varied trail riding with a good amount mud added in, I would suggest a set of Swamplites...fairly lite tire that doesn't kill your power, VERY good traction on most all trail conditions with a great riding tread pattern that does surprisingly well in the mud!
All at a surprisingly low price!

The only ones I ever had were MudRunners and they were awesome in mud, smooth riding on hard pack, and long wearing. But if you turn around in your yard it looks like you roto-tilled it. They may be too agressive for you, but they were the best tires I ever had.

I have a set of Kinda Bearclaws on my Honda 420 and they seem to do well. 6-ply tire so they hold up to almost anything you would probably be riding on/through. The tread on these aren't TOO aggressive but seem to be a good all-around tire. Plus you won't be out of pocket a lot like you might be with some of the other brands.
