i had that same question when i was buying my tires. Looking at the two side by side made my mind up for me! Things that are better about the XL over the AT is 1. deeper lug, 2. more spread out so it wont clog up as easy. The XL's are smooth on the trails but have also taken them in the mud as well. they did awesome in both. I imagine the AT would be smoother on the trails but next to worthless in the mud because of the small tread. i hope this helped you in your decision. (XL all the way!)

If you want to see my quad in the swamp when i just got them you can go to my youtube account www.youtube.com/motorhead9512

honestly, go big and dont regret it, also there isnt really that much of a weight difference between the two if that is what you were worried about.

do you ride on the road alot? because ive known mudlites to last a pretty long while unless you ride them on concrete or something of that matter.

yeah just stay off the road and ull be good, even if you do once in a while you wont really notice the wear unless you do it ALL the time haha but yeah mudlite XL all the way At is more of a lighter, trail riding tire and XL is all around goodness without breaking the bank lol
