On the principles of leverage, wider axles are harder on bearings. Does this matter as to HOW the axle is widened? Is it wise to run wheel spacers, flip your rims around, or go with a wider rim offset? Also I have heard of people boring their stock carriers to accept a double (or wider) bearing to handle increased load. Any1 know if you can do this with the banshee?

i am not sure if you can do this on a banshee, but you could get an aftermarket twin row carrier or tapered bearing carrier.

Any way you increase the width, you will still have the wieght of the tires on the ends.
