reversing tires ? inside out
#1
i have an 02 yamaha warrior
i don't remember where i read it
but i saw some place that someone said they reversed the install of their front rims to make their quad wider
(by "reverse" i mean inside out)
i just took one of my rims off and was looking at it
how is this accomplished because on mine the valve stem will hit the brake caliper?
also
would it be too stressful on the mounting hub if i put longer wheel studs on then put a spacer then mounted my wheel?
if using longer wheel studs and a spacer is possible i believe that the valve stem would clear the caliper, but would it be wise to mount the wheel backward ALONG with longer studs and a spacer
thanks

I wouldn't do it. Wheel spacers, flipped rims, etc increase bump steer and put extra stress on all front suspension components. Its ok for the back, but not the front.
But, if you must and you don't care about bumpsteer or wear, all you need to do is drill a new hole and put in another valve stem. Then take the old valve stem out and flip it around so it doesn't hit the caliper. Easy.
A better way would be to buy a widening kit that effectively makes the frame wider where the a-arms connect. I think the kit is in the $100-$200 range.

Or you could shell out the big bucks for a set of these: http://www.amstarmanufacturing.com/i...02PSP_Kit2.jpg
