Default tires for a yfz 450

what are the best all round tire for a yfz 450? it will be the track a little, dirt loose and packed, some gravel, the odd little tiny bit of mud, little bit of sand as well. i was thinking the Mud Lite SP or Hole Shot H-D.

I put them on my Raptor and will say thy are the best tire I have ever used great traceability with a strong puncture resistance. Ask anyone who has actually used a set and go from there or better yet buy a set and judge for yourself!

Here is my fav setup for what you are riding. Razr2 fronts, but run them the opposite direction of the rotation arrow. Original Razr rear. The 2's are automatically 6 ply, you need to specifically order 6 ply for the regular Razrs though. I have ran that setup through everything from nasty mud to trails hardpacked similar to dirt road and it is a pretty balanced package.

The razr ballance has the same tread pattern in the front as the razr II, but cheaper, and the rears have larger lugs that are spaced out more, they come in both 19 and 20in.

well heres my take i own a yfz450r and have had a previous yfz 06 before this and i have owned stock tires maxxis razr 2s and I razrs i currently own a set of holeshot hd and i went out to halsey national forest and did some hill climbs to compare the i razrs and holeshots vs my stock dunlops and believe it or not i had the best runs with the stock tires as long as i kept my weight back the hole shots would grip a little better of the line but they weighed a lot more so it slowed me down up the hill. but if your not worried about loosing a little speed in wanting more traction i would go with the holeshots and i would say the Irazs are a little lighter but dont necessarily grab as well. but all i know is with all the different tires i own the stock dunlop on the new yfz 450 is what has all around been the best
