Default siping tires

does anyone on here sipe their rigs tires? we do it all the time where i live on our trucks for better grip in the rain and on ice, and for better lug flex on super swampers. just wondering if anyone has tried it on a quad?

The rubber compound in an ATV tire is way to soft. They are built for max traction not mileage. I am afraid that they will only chunck-out between the sipes.
Good idea, but they aren't gonna last any time at all.
Now if you where running an asphalt tire.............maybe.

I think on a bias type tire you may gain some bite but I'm not so sure you'd get much on a radial.A radial tire flexes much more(than bias)to begin with so...

The only place I could see siping an ATV tire would be for rock crawling, to allow the tread to spread and "bite" more on the smooth rocks, like a siped car tire does on ice. I agree with the above posts, the softer tires on an ATV would probably tear up even faster with all the grooves cut in the tread.
