Default In the market for new tires, need help...

I have a 2007 Can-Am Outlander 650 HO XT. The stock tires are Carlisle ACT tires 26-8-12 (17.3 lbs) front and 26-10-12 rear (24.6 lbs). I am looking at the Maxxis Zilla tires, and would really like to get the 27"ers. The Zillas are 27-9-12 front (20.3 lbs) and 27-11-12 rear (23.4 lbs). Is the extra 1/2" of height and couple pounds going to make a big enough difference that I would need a clutch kit and all that stuff, or will it perform just the same without it? Or am I just better off getting the 26" set of Zillas? Thanks in advance for any help.

If you want the bigger tires, I would say go with them. IF it feels like you lost too much low-end, then get a clutch kit. but for only an extra inch, my guess is that youll be fine without it.

Zilla's run short. The 27" Zilla's will probably not be that much bigger than your 26" stockers. The 650 will turn them just fine without any mods.

However, they are going to be slightly wider... make sure they are going to clear everything... especially in the front. You don't want to have to buy spacers too.
