Keep us posted how that works out for you. I don't know that I'm a big fan of these 14" wheels, but that is the hand we must play.

I would never change from 12" to 14".

I guess my next set of tires I should look into going with a 27" tall tire. At least then I could get back an inch of sidewall. I guess technically it would be a 1/2". Bighorns don't come in a 27" x 14" so I might have to look at spending the big $ on something along the Pitbull line. Should get at least another year out of my current tires, so maybe something will come along by then. I have found the 850 to be tough on rear tires.

I love the rocks and the tires have taken a beating and left virtually scarless.

They ride nice at 2 1/2 psi and I know that's what I will be running on my 14" rimes.

They did a great job today on my 550 Touring EPS.

Note enough power to cruise in high-range so I had to dig through it in low about 3/4 throttle.

Pretty good climb on top of dragging the bottom most of the way.

These are very aggressive tires.

They might not ride like golf cart tires at low speeds but like most things there are trade-offs.

And there is the biggest advantage the 850 has over the 550. So far that is the only time a 500 or 550 couldn't go where my 850 went. The abilty to stay in high and never bog down regardless of how deep or heavy the snow is has gotten me through some areas that the smaller motor just wouldn't do it. Low range and there wasn't enough speed or momentum and in high they would power out. As I said, that is the only condition they couldn't follow. Actually, they could follow, just couldn't break the trail.
Have I ever mentioned that I really like these Polaris machines????

Deep snow is the only place something in the 500 cc range wouldn't take me where I wanted to go that a big bore would have.

Yellow Cougar Mine Trail 1-07-2011 - YouTube

My friend and I were out riding in the snow last Jan and he was riding a 2011 Touring 850 EPS Graphite LE . He was cutting the trail because I was ridding my Rubicon that has some pretty shitty tires at the time and not as much power as his 850.

After pushing his 850 for a bit in high range in the deep snow we could smell the belt starting to burn so we dicided to take another route rather than taking the chance of smoking the belt.

He has never experienced that on his King Quad.

Specta, how do you do it with your BD's. My buddy rides a 550 and just ordered a new set of Bighorns to replace his Black Diamonds. He only has 150 miles on them and has had three flats. Two of those happened yesterday and ended his ride early. The rear tire was ruined with a cut right in the bead and a hole above that. That was probably caused by low tire pressures, but you can't get a good ride from these tires at anything close to 5 psi. All the reviews I've seen on these tires say to run 2.5 psi in them to get a good ride. Don't know how you can ride on pressures that low without having problems. Maybe if you don't ride anything other than smooth, rock free trails. He also had a flat front tire. Don't know what caused that. I do know that there were 15 quads and 2 RZR's and we all rode the same trail. No one else had any tire problems. From what I've seen, I'm not impressed with the BD's. Just my opinion, for what it's worth.

I'll bet if you looked hard enough you could find another thread to copy and paste this in.

Why do I get the feeling you're trolling???

Don't know why you should care and if this site had a means of deleting a thread I would have deleted that one when I copied it into the Polaris forum. I was trying to get some info from you and wasn't getting any response in this section so I tried the Polaris section.
Trolling my a$$. Maybe this isn't the best place to look for answers. Thought maybe since you were running the tires in question you would be willing to give some advise in this matter.
