Default Maxxis Bighorns, Update after 3 years

For those of you looking for tires, I bought the Bighorns three years ago after two years of research, debating and reading posts. They were on the upper end of my purchase price, expensive, and worth every penny. I'm 59, not a mud bogger, but they've taken me and my Honda Rubicon through anything I've asked, mud, snow, rock, creeks, gravel roads, wet hill climbing and pavement, plus pulling a heavy trailer. They have great traction, including snow plowing with a 60 inch blade and ride excellent on hard pack, including pavement. Other posts have said they will outlast the bike and so far with showing no wear, I believe it. Incidentally, I went with the stock size tire. Hope this helps.

They make the original and the newer 2.0 They work good in regular trail mud, but they are not a mud tire. They excell in all other terrain, snow included. I can't speak for the 2.0, but the originals are a tough tire that will wear forever. Not unusual to hear of people getting 5,000+ miles out of a set.
