I want to order some new tires for my polaris. I will be making the purchase from dennis kirk. And I noticed the front tire size they bring up for my ATV is 26x8-12 (I am going up a size btw) but I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) the stock size for the front tire is 25x9-12. Would it be best to order the tires in 26x9 or do the 26x8?

 

The front tires should be 8" wide. It's best to just look at the original tires to be sure.

 

8 or 9 on the front should be fine. If you were looking for a serious mud quad, wider obviously would be better. For anything else, the more narrow the tire, the better it will likely steer. 8's are basically the norm, though some tires are only available in 9 or wider when you start getting into the larger sizes.
