Default Tire Help!

Hello,

I own a 2006 Brute Force 750 (love it) and I'm looking to get new back tires.

Everything is stock except the ITP rims. Currently I have stock size Tusks (bias) on all 4 tires.

My rear tires are pretty worn while my fronts look brand new. I would like to purchase radial Big Horns for the rear tires (for the winter and then rotate to the old ones in the summer until they are completely worn out)

My question is can I run bias in the front and radial in the rear? I would like to get a taller tire to give some clearance in the snow. I'm thinking BigHorn 27 9x12 for the back....would this rub? Also, would this put pressure on the joints and cause problems? What's the largest size I can go in back and keep my ATV all stock?

Thanks for all the help!

I recently read about mixing radial and bias ply tires. Everyone doesn't agree but most said it's okay to mix them as long as both fronts are the same and both rears are the same.

I can't see how it can hurt. Most trails (The fun ones) don't allow you to get much over 30 mph anyways.

Can I put on different tires in the back but keep the same size 25's?

Yes but on 4x4 you must keep the Dia. size the same front and back, you cant have 26" rears and 25" fronts or when in 4wd the rear and front drive train will fight each other.
