Friction plates are junk! Good thing you did tear the clutch pack apart. Steel plates can be lightly sanded down and reused.Haven't priced a clutch drum, but might be worthwhile to keep a check on ebay for a good used one. 115 bucks here for the drum.http://www.kawasakipartshouse.com/oe...478affb/clutch Check at Partzilla,Cycle Parts Warehouse,Cheap Cycle Parts if you're looking for a new one.

I called kawi this morning and they said the centrifugal clutch costs 275$. Should I buy that Chinese one off ebay? Those websites have the same price also.

If you're talking about the 80 buck Chinese drum shoes from Caltric, then I'd be temped to try them over the $275 oem shoes. What about the drum?

I'm gonna borrow a micrometer (I think that's what it's called) and measure the drum and see if there in spec. Didn't ask for a price yet from the dealer. 12$ per friction plates from dealer.

What's the worst that will happen with the China shoes? Wear out extremely fast? Shouldn't damage anything right

Who knows on the Chinese drum shoes.. Could wear out faster or could last as long as oem. The way things are getting,I wouldn't be surprised that Kawasaki gets some Chinese parts like a lot of manufacturers do now days.As far as the friction plates you can get them here.Clutch Friction Plates Fits Kawasaki KLF300 Bayou 300 1986 1996 | eBay Unless you live at the North Pole shipping is free.
