What are the disadvatages of 6 ply tires? Are they a lot heavier than the
4 ply tires?

Here we go again. I went riding for a total of 2 hours yesterday. I got another flat on my factory banshee rears. So I went home and put on some semi used Blackwaters I just got off of ebay and managed to put a sizable gash in the sidewall. Is there any tire that has a decent tread ply and can "run flat"?

Holyman,
I'm not sure what kind of ATV you have, but Titan 589 M/Ts are the best we've come across. Hubby has them on his Sportsman. He evidently ran over something (like a sharp piece of metal) and it put a gash in his tire between the lugs. He ran on it for the rest of the day, didn't have any problems. Came home, plugged it, and it's fine now. They're 6 ply tires...so no matter what ply you have, you can still get a flat. But with the 6 ply, you can ride on it for a while, while it's flat. I have Bear Claws on my Kodiak, they're 4 ply I believe, and I've never had a flat. Either one of these tires are great for mudding and trail riding.

ps-I've got a set of stock Goodyears that came off the Sportsman, if that's the kind of tires you're lookin for. They're still in excellent shape...only used them for a month.

Amy...I have a banshee that has 9" rims in back and 10" in front. I have a set of 10" rears coming so if you have 9" or 10" rears let me know. And could you email me some pics?
Thanks
