I was wondering if my +2 a-arms would work on my friends 400ex.
How about the TCS shocks could they switch over with just a revalve job or something. Any help on this subject would be greatly apreciated.

The archives have a thread with the same question and several responses, much more info than I could give you here (plus I hate to retype it all). It tells what to do, how, and adjustment limitations afterwards. Easy to find. Good luck, it does work well!.

I can't seem to find anything when searching the old posts. If any one could help me find this post or if you have any info about this post please share your knowledge.

Sorry, I thought it'd be easier to find. I swapped a-arms from my 250R to my 400EX just this year. The 400EX a-arms are direct bolt-ons to a 250R EXCEPT that you'll have some play due to the wider a-arm frame pockets on the 250R, and I fixed that with two appropiate sized washers. The 250R a-arms I installed on the 400EX were aftermarket Burgards +2, they must be trimmed/ or milled at the bushing area, as they will be about 1/8" (aproximate) too wide for the 400EX a-arms pockets, once that's done they bolt up fine. The only thing I ran into is that I lost some range in camber adjustment using 250R a-arms on the 400EX, as the attachment points for the a-arms on the 400EX knuckle are a slightly different angle than on the 250R. I still managed to get -5 degrees of camber without a bind, so I was plenty satisfied (top of front wheel 5 degrees closer than bottom). This isn't hearsay, wishful thinking, BS or fabrication, I made this exchange myself, early this year on my own machines, which are used for MX regularly. I'll be glad to answer if you have more questions regarding this swap.
