I was wondering which sand tires you guys prefered for all around sand riding? I have a 1988 LT250r (basicly stock condition) and need to get some rear tires for Waynoka in a few weeks. Thanks.

Skat-trak haulers work real well. You want a paddle that has a hard cleat on it so you dont wear them out to fast, or tear them off. An 8 paddle should work well for you. If you like to slide in the sand, go with a hauler. If you go with an edge (V-shaped paddle) you wont be able to slide the rear end around as much. They also keep you straight when racing around the bowls. If your bike has quite a few mods and alot of power, you might be able to run a 9 paddle. Dont get to agressive of a tire, or you will feel like your bike is under powered. Remember, wheel spin is the key. I prefer to run a low profile myself. I run 20, 10, 10 on my banshee, and they seem to work real well.
Enjoy the dunes.

Get Sand Skate II's. Their a good all around paddle tire. They have angled paddles that are easier to turn than the straight paddle type. Also you coud check and see if their are any rental shops near the riding area that rent paddles. That way you can maybe try out one of the types mentioned and ride one of your buddies ATV's that has the other type to see which you prefer.

Sorry about the xtra posts. When I sent the
first (and the 2nd & 3rd posts) I didn't get a
confirming message that my post was sent/received.

I've heard good things about GBC Sand Sharks. They look identical to Sand Skate IIs and cost substantially less.
