Looking at putting set of aftermarket a-arms on my ride. I've narrowed it down to a set of American Star Racing or Krypton units. The AMR's are a little more pricy but are fully adjustable and tout the use of heim joints. Are these things really better than ball joints?

 

I have a set of LSR +2's on my 400ex, they use hiem jonts as well on the top arms. I believe roll Design came out with a set that used them on the spindal joint as well. I havent had any problems with mine and i have nearly.. 2 years on them.

 

i have a set of janssen racing a arms that use the heim joints just like the american star racing ones. they have been through one season and are still working fine...

 

With heims you get a better range of motion and they are stronger than ball joints.
