Default Vamps & Blackwaters

Hey Fellas,

Can someone please tell me whats so great about Vampire & Blackwater tires? They look like quality products but don't seem to be extremely better than a lot of other tires on the market - at least not enough to justify all the hype I hear about them. Am I missing something?

The Vampires are very good tires. They pull great in mud, hills, etc. and ride fairly smooth on hardpack. They are also very tough and wear is good.

As for blackwaters.....I didn't think there was any hype about them. They do not pull very good in mud at all. They would be a good tire for trails though.

I use to own blackwaters b4 they made the new xt ones and the regular ones weren't so good in mud there great for trails and sand. I see the blackwater xt being a little better looking and would think they would do much better. I have 27inch vampires on my 4x4 and i like them alot. They do everything i want them to do and i live on shellrock roads and they ride smooth. Your probably judging the vamps with outlaws. The outlaws are new and competed with vamps so thats why there more beefier unless you get the 28inch vamps that have 2 inch of bite to them.

I love my Vamps they have really helped me out in Mud and also ground clearance! They will grab roots and stumps under mud or water and will usually pull you right out. Now if you have the power and a strong Rear End and Front Diff i would go with the 28" EDL Vamps = Best Mud Tire every built and prolly will always be.
