what do ya' ll think of 25 X 10 X 12's on front and 26 X 10 X 12 on back.
i think 12 wide on back might take away to much power.
also thinking about 25X8's in front but it has 24X9's now and dont want to go to 8's
but want overall increase in height.
tire choice will either be Titan 589 mt or mudlite or wht do ya'll think will be good.
mostly trails and when i do get in mud i dont like to get stuck but plan on doing cable mod to lock front end so dont think either of these brands will let me down anyway.
appreciate all advice.

another option that I have seen done is to have 26-9-12 all the way around in the 589's but I don't think the 26-12-12's on the rear will give you too much power loss. Your AC 300 is a strong quad.

Hey,
On a 4-wheel drive atv, you need the same size tires on the front and the back. I mean....26" front and back or 25" front and back. But your bike is a little different, You need to be sure if you go up one size on the back that you go up one size on the front. That keeps the same gear ratio all the way around. Your bike should handle 25" or 26" just fine. You could ask your dealer to be sure. The only problem you might have is that the 26" might rub your fenders some. As for as what kind of tires, I would suggest Titan 489 X/Ts. They are 6 ply rating and do a good job in the mud and and a great job on hard pack. If you really want an aggressive tread design, then the Titan 589 M/Ts are what you want. They do really good in the mud and you still have good stability on hard pack. I like the narrower tires on the front because of ease of steering, also lots of times when you go extra wide on the front, you can have problems with them rubbing on more than just the fenders.

Artic,
My recomendation on tires would be titan 589's. I have 25-10-12 on all 4 tires on my 01 wolverine and love them. I think if you put those on your cat you would love them. They are a great all around tire and turning them shouldn't be too much trouble.
