Mudlites vs. Mudbugs
#1
Well can someone please give me the facts about these two tires. They will be used for Trail riding, Snow, loose terrain, sand, and bog. Factors such as tread wear and ride quality are important. Thank You for all replies

I have 26" gators on my rubicon with no problems with clearance or power loss.Since gators are almost identical to mudbugs there should not be a problem.I have only ridden them in snow so far but they ride well at all speeds above 5 mph or so and steer very good.Below 5mph or so on hard surfaces they are a little rough as are most aggressive tires.According to other people using them they also work very well in mud and tread life is quite good.

some people say the mudlites wear very fast. i would get the mudbugs or gators. they wear good and they look like they would give just about the same ride but better mudding capabilities. as for power loss, the mudlites would save the most power due to less rotational mass. however, all these tires are very light and almost the same weight. mudlites are the lightest, followed by mudbugs, then gators. if you go with mudbugs, you might want to go up to 27" because they are actually lighter than the 26s due to more void(space between the lugs) and the width of the lugs.
