Any One Know about ITP Mudlites?
#1
I am seriously looking at this tire for my quad. A 2003 Honda 450 S. Stock size is 25 x 8 x 12 front and 25 x 10 x 12 rear. I am looking to gather information about the performance in regards of trail riding, snow, sand, and loose dirt. Also info on wear would be helpful, it is suppose to be made of the same compound as the 589's so I think the wear might be comparable to them. Any facts sure would be a great help. Thanks in advance!

The Mudlites have done me good so far. I have had them on my Wolverine for awhile now, about 40 hours and no wear yet. Works great in the loose dirt and the mud. We rarely ever see snow down here. If I had to do it over again, I'd go with the Mudlites again. I have 25-8-12 F and 25-10-12 on the rear.

I like mine a lot they do well in the snow and ride pretty smooth on the hard pack. They have not been in the mud yet so I can't say first hand how they perform. They should do very well.
They are very close to their stated size and they are lite. The tread depth on the 25's is 7/8 inch on the 26's and taller it's 1 1/4 inches. HTH

My brother in law has a Honda 450, he has an extra set of rims. One set is mounted with Titan 489 X/Ts and the other set is mounted with Titan 589 M/Ts. The 589s are 26" and the 489s or 25". He changes tires and wheels depending where he goes riding. If its trail riding with a little mud he uses the 489s. If its all out Mud riding he changes to the 589s. Both tires are 6 ply rated with a hard rubber that wears very well. He has put several hundred miles on each of these tires with very little wear. The 489s have a very good and smooth ride on hard pack.

I am also looking at the mudlites, i have found the stock tires on the 650 are close to 25" at the rear but the fronts are closer to 23 and 7/8.
Could i be a pain in the butt and ask what are the exact height of the mudlites fron and rear in the 25" size?
By the way thanks for the write up on the mudlites about how they are in various conditions.
How do they handle at 50+?
Thanks

Just had my 26" mudlites mounted and picked them up from the dealer today. I have the 26x12x12 sitting in my office next to me. I measured it and it is exactly 26". Fronts (26x10x12) are in the back of my pickup, out in the parking lot. I'll try to measure them later and post the height on them.
