Default Wheel Offset?

Can someone explain to me what wheel offset is and how to determine it, and do you have to have an exact offset match when changing to different wheels? i.e. My xplor 400 stock Front tire 4+3 Rear tire 2+5 offset. I want atr holeshots c-series kit from dennis kirk, but my machine isnt listed. Has anyone with a 2000 xpor 400 put this setup on their machine?

Default Wheel Offset?

there was recently a post about this same question.. but offset wheles means one ride of the rim there is a certain about of space fromt he center to the out side and diff amoutn of space on the other side.. this is so you can flip rims over nad make wider or narrower.. like 3+5 means 3 in on one side and 5 on the other
