Hi there im going to silver lake sand dunes and i dont know what type of paddle tire would work the best its either the sand skate II or Edge oh yeah it for a predator 500 with a hmf slip on if so how many paddles should i get on the tire. Thanks for your time

 

Sand skate II's are the better of two in my opinion. I have ran both the edge & skate II's

 

i have ran both the sand skate and the edge and they seem to be about equal in performance but i am pretty sure the edge is quite a bit lighter than the sand skate if that matters to you.both of these tires are very durable and seem to hold up well when ridden occasionaly in the gravel or on asphalt so i would pick the one that you can get the best price on.

 

I felt the edge had more hookup when I rode 2 quads with those 2 kinda tires. jmo

 

i have a set of almost new sS2's on rims if intrested make an offer

 

oh and some haulers 10 paddles 21*11*10

 

I've used both Sand Skate IIs and Scat Trak Edges. Personally, I think Sand Skate IIs hook up better. They are a bit heavier, but they provide superior traction as far as I'm concerned. Either one will serve you well, however. Good luck![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

I tore up a set of skat trak Edges in less than one season... all the paddles on the right side were torn and missing big chunks. I've been on the same set of sand skate 2s for two seasons already and can easily go another 2. I wouldn't spend more for a tire that hooks up the same and wears out 4 times as fast. Gouge in another mark for the sand skate 2's.

What size are the Skate II's? Are they on rims? Whats the bolt pattern? Do you have any pictures?
