Default Children to be muzzled in the dunes

Well if my quad has to be quiet then I would like equall respect from all noise making devices. I don't have kids but I know those little critters can be really loud...the noise is so bothersome in fact that I can't hardly think sometimes...its not the scream of a banshee as it passes camp that drives me crazy, but rather the screaming banshee the neighbors brought from home...seriously folks...lets start kenneling the kids.

What thats a horrible idea?
Well I aint choking off my exhaust until all the little screamers out there have been choked out!

On the other hand there might be a new position opening up in Glamis, should these restrictions go into effect there will be an immediate demand for SHHHUSHHH police...I'm guessing that men or women that have worked in library's will be contacted first.

SHHHHHHH this is the dunes...keep your fun at a minimum and we won't have any problems
loud youth will no longer be tolerated

ya its so pathetic what they expect. I was at florence and I asked to be tested and I got 100 db (with wind and around trucks with others riding) so then I asked the sheriff to test his state issued raptor (stock) and he said he already did and it barely passed. What do they expect us to do if we wanted more power out of our machines. I think they should tell the complainers to not live next to the dunes if you dont like the noise. Its that simple

I think this will go the way of the Red Sticker thing. Nobody is going to enforce it. All the government agencies are so strapped for money, they can't spare the manpower. Maybe it will get enforced here and there in places where they just want to harass us?????

Strangle big government by cutting off its funding!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have a little help for you, since i have always rode the oregon dunes, i've always dealt with the noise, there is a few things to consider, if you are the loudest they will find you. well if you find a pipe that produces good power, but is a little quieter this will draw less attention to you. lowering rpm when sound cops are around keeps them away. the other that some do is run if you are loud not easy to hear, the forms they use to stop you. basically just don't draw extra attention to your self and never ride any area to long easier for them to hear you and move in for the kill. have extra packing to say the pipe must be getting low on packing, seems to cause them to flex a little. and the big trick, take your stock exhaust reinstall and and go get checked be under the limit get it dated go to court and say the other one meter was broke, burden of proof falls to them.

Sooooo i'm supposed to keep my kids away from having a good time i think not , if he gets excited and i hope he does because i get excited everytime i am able to go and play , better yet i'd rather spend time with both of my boys out there , howling all night long and getting the camping nieghbors involved also . As far as a generator running all night some people know how to bury the generator so it kills most of the noise but others will try and move it as far away from you as possible if you just ask . Oh by the way I plan on bringing one of my yappy mouth kids out to the dunes so he can enjoy the sport as much as i do this weekend and we are gonna camp and run the generator all night too

honda makes a great line of quiet generators, they should hand them out for crying out loud.

When i had my white bros on my 400 i asked for a check (knowen he can't give me a ticket) that guy was the meanest cop i've ever met! He made us check it and when it was all done it came to like 98dbs, and he started gripping about "why do you wast your money on these pipes, no one races around here, its a recreation area......" thats what he said to me, i was about ready to say "you idiot, we race" but i didn't
so if you are getting chased by a cop in a Durango, don't stop!!!!

wild- thats so cool!! alot of cops really don't care, i hardly ever see people geting tickets. here's a anuther story, when we were at dunefest, one of our bomb body's (bigslim78) was leading and we finally stop, we were about as far from the parking lot you could get. this guy walks up out of the trees and he said HEY! and it was one of our friends, he way down in a hole tring to tree shot and he hit a tree and snaped his tie rod in half on his raptor, so after we get it out (1 1/2 later) we are tring to figure out how to tie it on to a 400ex, and then here come these two warrior cops!! we all look up and we seen this sign it the side of are eye, and it said no atvs past this point, and it was like 10 feet from us. when the cops got to us they were a cool and every this, and i was hoping that they would'nt see the sign which they didn't (good thing). the cops where really nice and they where help tring to get it tiyed up on the 400. one of the cops seen that one of our friends with us had a old car on it and he's like "do you have a old car or do you just go to the shows" the cop said that he had a 1933 ford coupe, and our friends like i have been look for a long time to find a 1934 ford 5 window coupe. so cops can be mean or nice!!!
