Just got back form little sahara the accident board was reset on saturday after a guy on a polaris sportsman 500 flew of a 35' drop on the trail from sandmountian to oaisis camp ground, one thing good was there was no suffering per his friends, very sad and somber end to a day. My heart and thoughts go out to the family of the guy and his buddys that were with him.

That sucks, people just need to be careful. I feel for his family and friends. I hope he was not drinking also. Are there anymore details anywhere.

That trail is pretty safe, at least I thought it was.

havent seen anything in the news... The guys were camped next to us, it happened in the middle of the day so they may have been drinking but hard to say if that plays in. The guy was on a borrowed machine may be not a lot of experience with dunes they had been ther a day allready and rode the trail a couple of times. they said there wernt any skidmarks going over the edge either and the handle bars wernt bent just the front end smashed and the axle clean broke probubly landed on him, thats like a 600# machine. either way very unfortunate...[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]
