Sand hills resort is for sale

I have heard that snowmobilers go out there in the winter. I dont personally know.
I am not really local, it is about 5 hours for me. I am sure some of the local guys will chime in with their opinion, they probably hear more about the area being closer. I am just going off what I have seen when I have been there this past summer.
I hope the enviro-weenies keep there hands off. There are small closed areas and trails, but they are not marked very well. I think the key is to stay off the vegetation and stick to the open sand. That seems to be what the blm is looking for up there.

But what we all face there like most other areas is an ever-increasing number of riders, and with it the associated idiots. If people follow the simple rules of staying off the grass, riding responsibly, not littering (you'd be amazed at how many beer cans and water bottles I find out there) we can keep them open indefinitely.
The real key is for us to police ourselves, and when you see people riding on grass or littering, open up some whoopass. Don't let a dirtbag spoil your way of life.
Ride On!

Lets start a co-op, it will be like a communism.....j/k shady. I think it would be a nice way to live, if yoiu could scrape by, maybe develop the land. I would like to see the flyer. I think I can see a group of atvers putting something together.

Thanks Batoutahell, Shady and Selector! I had read that it is a wilderness study area, that is why the ?'s. All of my experience is anecdotal, just what I’ve seen and heard from people while riding or visiting there. Idaho is worlds away from California fortunately for the people of Idaho! But living in cal makes you paranoid of tree huggers and government intervention…I’d hate to see 1.7mil spent and then have the area closed...

I don't mean to cut on ID either - it's a great place, just COLD, REAL COLD in the winter.
