I got a mailer from mean gene up at the sandhills in St. Anthony. He wants 1.7 million for the resort and some undeveloped ground around if. So if you have $1.7 mill laying around maybe you should think about it.

Let us know if it does sell and who the new owners are, we are planning a trip there for a week and planned to stay at oasis cuz of the problems with the people at sand hells. If there are new nicer owners we would love to stay there. Sean

I'm sure it will take a while. With a little luck by next riding season it will have new-and-improved owners.

I'm not sure I could deal with Mean Gene and Shirley the **** at Sand HELLS Resort much more.

Anyone know what if any enviormental issues at st.a's. BLM, State, and local. How much support for continued riding there and for how long?

I believe there is alot of support for continued riding there. I think that is what you are asking. The BLM just recently put quite a bit of money into the egin lake parking/camping area, and have plans for added upgrades. There is also a fairly new campground, the desert oasis, that is working to make it nicer.

I have heard that the dunes close sometime in the winter, but then I heard that was false, so I dont know.

I have not heard of any enviromentalist groups trying to close the dunes, so everyone keep quite and dont let them know about the dunes there. LOL

Thanks! That is what I was asking...Just wondering what the local feeling is on the riding area. I guess seeing how Pismo gets smaller, Sand Mtn. Nevada facing more closure, Oregon coast closure's. I would be leary of spending 1.7mil on somthing that could be closed because a bunch of tree huggers get their panties in a wad. I havn't been to st.a's in the winter but I bet it can be cold!
