i always wear my helmet but i like to keep it off for pics(unless im tryin to do soem crazy ****) and that was i nthe neighbors yard [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] trhey don't care also honda riders don't b offended by my H.O.N.D.A. thing in my sig.. just sometihng funny i thoguht i suold put...

IS MICHIGAN CITY DUNES? I RIDE SILVER LAKE ALL SUMMER LONG AND HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THIS PLACE. INFO?

Yes and no.
The riding area we are talking about is about 500 acres and if you know your way around, connects to some awesome single track. On the north side of the Amtrak lines, across the street from the Indiana state prison, there is a large sand pit and there are 2 more small dunes to the west of the pit. The largest of these dunes are about the size of the small dunes that are in between the drags and the lake at Silver Lake.
If you look at a map you would see alot of dunes in the area but it is all off limits. So don't plan any trips to this area.
To get an idea of the size of these dunes you can do a search for Mt. Baldy or Hoosier Slide.

Hey TRX440, did you know someone else now owns the property on the other side of the tracks now? they are really trying to keep people off of that side, one time a guy ran into a wire someone strung up, and the last time I tried to go to the other side was in the spring, I went through the big pipe, and they put big rocks on the other side so nobody could get through...Oh well...
