The Utah dunes are also really great on the backside. Not to step on any toes, but they are just as much fun as St.Anthony and there are more square miles. And Sand mountain Utah is 3 times taller than choke cherry. But on the other hand, St Anthony is awesome too. You cant go wrong either way.

We drove about 15 hours this past June(weekend before the 4th of July) to get there and it was well worth it. We stayed at Desert Oasis which was pretty decent, the BLM campground wasn't open yet. The weather was really good, only one hot day but we rode in the morning and early evening. Like they say, Once you go there, you'll always wanna go back. Right Shady!!

Bring your cash and you can buy sandhills(1.5million ) Sand Mtn at LS in utah is a long run, but the 2 big bowls, deadhorse adn the garbage can bowl are unbelievable at ST. A!! Choke cherry is every bit of what it is built up as being. An perhaps the most underapreciated dune there is devils dune. The big dunes at St. A are something you should see at least once!! LS has sand mountain, but the bowls and hills on the backside while very fun, are not ST. A size. Take the week and try both, LS is only about 20-25 miles off of I-15.
