Rincon In Sand?
#1
I've never ridden in sand before so my father and I are thinking of making a trip to Silver Lake sand dunes and of course I have no fear that my Banshee will do fine
However he has a Rincon that is stock other than some 26" Mudlites. Do you think it will go okay in the sand? If not would a set of Pure Sports Relators or such on back help?

Duece- The rinny does just fine in the sand. I have had mine in the dunes twice now in the last month. The tallest ones we climbed were about 60' and pretty steep. Towards the top I would loose traction but could make it. Most of the time, I would just put it in 4x3 and cruise on up. I was riding with a Raptor, Preditor, 400 Suzuki, and 400 ex. I could go anywhere they did. I still have the stock tires on it. I had rejetted and it was running pretty rich . We were at 3000' elev. vs. 600' at home. I also have a Raptor and lots of times I will not put the paddles on it because I like to be able to slide and break the tires loose when I want. The rinny is the same way with stockers. You can break them loose about any time you want to. It slides just great. I never felt like it was tippy when on a dune sideways. The front tires do dig in a little when pushing it hard in a corner with deep sand. I personally think the mudlites will do fine if they don't dig in to much. As a back up, I would take the stock tires with you if you still have them. A sand tire has to float as well as dig sand. I think you will have a great time. Let me know how it goes.
