nextel only in geko but it sucks unless your on the road, dosent work at the washes or the flats.Nextel blows tho

 

Edge/Verizon/US Cellular do not work well on Gecko road unless you are on a hill.

 

ATT and T-Mobile both worked really well when we were at Gecko

 

you may need to have your software updated on your sprint phone to take advantage of new towers/signals. Bring it into sprint and have them check to determine if yours has the most recent software on it. If not, have them update the phone.

 

what you need is a satelite phone not cellular, cos they work absolutly anywhere in the world, bit pricey tho,

 

you folks can update your phone yourself by calling *228
just make sure you are in your own home area/on your own home tower
pretty simple.....takes about a minute....doesnt cost a thing
should work for the majority of you........all depends on if your company has an agreement with the company who owns
the tower..........politics

 

i have a lg6000 phone from verizon and it sucks when you get to the flats on gecko road i get a bar or so but really does not work i have to keep going down the road towardst the farms before i get service

 

Cingular/T-mobile (same network) work great all over the dunes, Gecko to the washes, 78 to 8.

 

I made several calls with nextel no problems
