Hey can someone come to my rescue?!?, this is probally a really dumb question but the tire sizes are mixing me up. I have bead locks that have 20-12-10 and reg rims that have 20-11-10 **** on them. 20 is the tire size right? and the next is the width? and the next is the rim size? if thats right then can I put any width tire I want on a 10" rim? Or do I have to keep a 12 width tire on the beads and a 11" on the other rims? Do bead Lock rims need a special tire? If someone could shed some light on this I would be very thankful.

20x12x10 = 20 inch tall tire, 12 inches wide, 10 inch diameter wheel

 

Your kind of right, within reason. You would not be able to seat the beads on a 23x7x10 on a 10x8 or 10x10 rim. It would need a 10x5 rim. Now any 20x10x10, 20x11x10,or20x12x10 should work on a 10x8 rim. The 20x12x10 might fit better on a 10x10 rim. All of the last three would look very silly on a 10x5 rim as well. Hope that makes sense.

There are no special beadlock tires.

 

If you are just riding in the sand, no need for beedlocks, they just add weight. If you are riding elsewhere, then maybe you need them.
