Well the HOME MADE spark arrester i made for my Brother in laws Banshee passed at silver lake Saturday. They didn't check any of the five quads in our group the first time through, but they checked the banshee the second time through.

hey, what were the dunes like? (soft?)
and what was the temp?

We are going next weekend for 3 days, and this will be my first time there with paddles, so im hoping the sand is soft, and its not TOO cold....

Ya i got through with my DS MBRP home-made sparky (screen wire lol) but they blew out like 2 minutes after i passed the entrance. (which is why i now have a spark arrested exhaust, because it was a total pain to re do it each time)

I think spark arrestors are kind of dumb for DUNES....there isnt any woods in the dunes really...and im pretty sure sand dosnt catch fire

The Sand was soft and it was like 50 deg when we got there around 11:30am. By 2:30 it was 37 deg and it started snowing. The wind picked up and it was imposible to ride without freezing your a@$ off. We stayed till about 5:30 and decided to give it up and come home. It was my first time to the dunes and I can't wait to go back.
