She weighs about 90lbs and is a new rider. I want here to get something that will hold up well in the sand. Thanks!

The 250 does surprisingly well in the sand with a set of paddles, and it is a sold machine. The 350 is a redesigned Warrior, and isn't even out yet, so nobody knows anything about it. I would guess however, that it is going to be way big and heavy for a 90 pounder!

Take a look a the 300EX. It is mid size, and has more power (which you need in the sand!) than the 250. The engine mods up pretty well, if you need more power.

The Blaster is tons of fun too!

go to the honda 400 very smooth power but enough power to get up all the hills, a few in the riding group started wifes on the 250 more wreaks due to lack of power and getting stuck in bad spots, kids and wifes that don't ride bigger machines are all going to 400 machines

I am surprised that the 350 is out already, and none of the magazines have done a test ride yet. In a quick look at the Yamaha forum, I didn't see any rider reviews.

There is a couple of guys in the Yamaha forum that have them. 1 has some pics posted. If you are set on these 2 quads, I would go for the Raptor 350, but a 400ex might not be a bad choice either.

we have several riders in our group and they started on the 250 class and had more wrecks due to they would get into a hill and not have enough power to make the climb and then make a wrong decision. most all have switch to the honda 400 as a min. they enjoy the rides much more and seem to never wreck.
