Great St Anthony weekend!

It was all good at the dunes this weekend 6-18 to 6-20. Met up with Sandgod and Buddah and did some riding with them and their crew. Great guys, and we all rode out to Choke Cherry and back, hit some jumps (you can kill yourself trying to jump like Buddah ). Thanks guys!!
They were filming for a movie that will apparently be called Anticity 2, with a helicopter and some pro riders on quads and bikes. We saw them out at Choke Cherry and it was pretty cool.
Norm from Norm's Auto Electric in Ontario, OR was there with his 910cc Polaris twin hillshooter quad. It is positively insane! He does Choke Cherry like this: roll into the bottom as fast as you can get across the whoops which ain't movin very fast, get to the bottom at about 1/4 throttle, once facing uphill go 1/2 then 3/4 then full throttle, once full throttle is achieved without flipping over backwards hit the nitrous. Once on the button, he goes for about 2.5 or 3 seconds, hits 70 mph going straight up the hill, then at about 3/4 of the way up the hill, chop throttle, lock up the brakes, and skid the rest of the way UP the hill to keep from flying over the top to his death. It was almost indescribable. I have a film of Tyler (Shady JR) on the quadracer heading up the hill and Norm lit this thing up and went by him like a rifle shot, it gives quite a perspective!
Chased down Ryan Gibson from Boise and got to chat with him and Jennifer. He stopped by for a Shady Brewery "Hun Runner Ale" at our camp. Thanks for the Fat Tires, Ryan!
Tina & the gang from TNTQuadjunkies was there right near us but we never hooked up, we were all out riding at different times.
Saw Predatorkickass as usual and said hi.
There were at least 3 Hotrails sandrails as featured in the latest SandSports magazine there. Honda V-6 V-Tec engines, turbocharged. Works of art, and fast!
The sand was good every day except Saturday afternoon it was pretty choppy. But Thursday night it was real windy and Friday the sand was perfect, as it was on Sat morning and Sunday.
Norm also had a YFZ on nitrous, and it was tuned properly and quite a runner. Real fun to watch it go, one full gear higher on the hills than the regular piped YFZ's. Faster than that sounds to read it.
Both Shady Juniors (Tyler 13 and Ajay 10) are really getting on top of their game. Hard as I want to go, I turn around and they stay right up with me. They make those wheelers really talk, and both weigh about 80 pounds so they really skim across the top of the sand. It's a joy to see them open up the YFZ at Dead Horse Bowl!
Sorry for the long post, I just had to blab to someone and you're it!

Hey Starky, the tires worked great! I wanted to get a picture doing a big roost on top of a dune, but you know when you get riding it's hard to stop and try and get good pictures. I did however get some taken doing airtime, some real long ones. And pix with me & Mrs Shady and some of the kids, so I'll post them later when they're developed.
I climbed Choke cherry pretty well even in difficult choppy wet sand conditions where the piped Raptors couldn't climb it I went over easy in second with fair speed at the top. When it was dry I climbed most of the way in third and finished high in second. They have a ton of traction, at first I thought I was running rich they bit so much. But I did run the hills as good or better than before with the old sand skate II's.

That's great to hear, sure wish I could have been there. Looking forward to seeing the pictures. I took the Griz trail riding this weekend and I was going to get some pics as well. I know exactly what you mean about stopping to take pictures when your having fun. Maybe I'll get some on the next trip.
