Default Where to leave a car at Pismo???

A friend is going to join us at Pismo. They don't want to drive down in the sand, and would like to leave their car somewhere safe in town. I was thinking the train station or a well lit grocery store parking lot. Any ideas???

There is a parking lot right by the front gate (not the grand ave entrace). Your friend could park there or all along that road.

My dad and I had to do a rescue mission bringing parts to my brother who busted his truck. We parked on the road leading into the beach ramp on the outgoing side by the pond. No tickets or any other problems. An other member of the group parked closer to the ranger booth where there is a curb. Just make sure you check the signs that they don't limit parking. This was two years ago so things may have changed. It would be wise where ever you park it to check on it each day you are there.
